Herbert Muskal

Herb and I became close friends when we were in our teens. We shared an interest in cars and many other things. Herb “stood up” at my wedding and we shared many wonderful times together as friends, as newly married couples and later as families. Mark and my son Larry, both having a sister, but no brothers, are just about as close as two young men who are not blood related can be; brothers in spirit. Herb’s illness began shortly after I moved from Skokie to San Diego and we kept in close touch. He fought leukemia with a fierce determination that extended his life, but sadly the illness was just too tough to beat. Rest well me dear friend. You will always be in my thoughts.

I will always remember Herb as being a wonderful friend. From the time we were collegues at FluoroScan, 20 years ago, Herb’s friendship and accounting expertise were never in doubt. He has been one of the most loyal, positive people I have had the pleasure to know.
